Hillary Clinton is set to make her second appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert soon. Meanwhile, the talk show host offered glimpses into what to expect, explaining that in case everyone wants to relive the excruciating details of the past, there’s some good news.

Hillary Clinton is offering people a way to down memory lane with her new memoir. It’s titled What Happened. Colbert jokes that it’s way better than the original title: Anyone Wanna Buy a Barge Full of Unused Fireworks?.

Excerpts have begun to leak before the book’s release, says Colbert, citing an example where Clinton talks about being cautious earlier in public but embracing change and letting her guard down in recent times. “A little late,” Colbert comments.

Clinton even talks about what it was like making the traditional concession call to Donald Trump. “It was all perfectly nice and weirdly ordinary, like calling a neighbour to say you can’t make it to his barbecue.”

Colbert thinks that’s a shame. “Because she was supposed to bring a cold salad and competent leadership,” he says.
