Who hasn’t wanted to defy gravity and float in space? Swedish video blogger Simone Giertz got a preview. The outcome is the video above – a celebration of childlike enthusiasm, blissful free-falling, perfect zero gravity hair, and more.

Giertz, who hopes to space-travel one day, tried to simulate things by going on a parabolic flight which promises to let passengers experience a few moments of weightless. The service actually dates back to 2006, when the Zero Gravity Corporation became the first commercial company to get permission from the Kennedy Space Center to use the space shuttle runway and landing facilities.

As it turned out, Giertz’s experience was much better than she had feared – she didn’t throw up – though she couldn’t say anything intelligible during the weightlessness because she was having so much fun floating around chasing candy.

Her insights? Your body has no idea what to do when it gets lighter and lighter. You feel like you’re flying, and your instinct is to pedal which isn’t very effective but incredibly enjoyable.
