What's the ideal driving speed in Singapore? According to stand-up comic Rishi Budhrani, you must drive slowly enough to annoy the guy behind you, but fast enough not to be overtaken.

If that sounds like a tough act, it's still a cakewalk compared to getting a licence there, says the comedian. There’s two levels of theory tests, he explains, followed by driving tests – where you have to guide a box-shaped car through an S-shaped road – and then the road tax and insurance after spending a fortune to buy a car.

“So for those of you who think we are lousy drivers let me tell you something...” Budhrani concludes. “...The people we have put on the roads that is our best team.”

Here in India? All we can say is you sometimes wish the tests were just as rigorous. And talking about them, just as funny.
