Daniel Fernandes has a dark view.
Stand-up comedian Daniel Fernandes cannot decide why he was so affected by the 2016 US elections, insisting that he “wasn’t this affected when the BJP came into power”.
Could this be the reason? According to Fernandes, America held elections recently...and Russia won. “Even Donald Trump did not expect Trump to win,” he says.
He asks the audience to look at every picture of Trump after his victory, comparing his facial expression to the look on the faces of Indians when they found out that the Rs-2000 note was purple in colour.
Fernandes spares no dark themes, speaking about Muslims in Gujarat pitying their fellow Muslims in America, and observing that Syrians reacted to the elections by saying, “Yeah, America, now you know what this feels like.”
