Lalu Prasad Yadav is one man in Lok Sabha who everyone wants to hear. It’s normal for the former Bihar chief minister to receive incessant table-thumping, often from those who don't support him as well – thanks largely to his funny bone. Where others choose to go the slogan-and-protest route, Yadav often prefers to use mimicry. And this time, he's taken on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

At a rally in Patna, Yadav mocked Modi’s style of speaking, with staccato bursts of speech punctured by long pauses, while making grandiose claims of development. With the Bihar elections coming up later this year, Yadav also saw a chance to make fun of the way Modi announced a special package for the state, almost like an auctioneer.

And it isn't the first time that Yadav has taken on another political leader through his mimicry.
