AIB, one of India's most popular comedy collectives, has often leaned on Bollywood for its funniest material. Whether that is making fun of Alia Bhatt (and making fun of those making fun) or pulling out Alok Nath where he's least expected. The troupe has also mined Indian culture to extract humour from its 'Honest' series, where people say what they actually think, on flights or at Diwali.

Now they appear to have combined the two, attempting to turn an honest look on the ubiquitous Bollywood party song. This genre, perfected by those who put together Yo Yo Honey Singh music videos, has all the conventions of club videos set in a disco with a rap interlude that have become standard the world over (c.f. any Black Eyed Peas party song ever).

True to form, AIB pulls out an unlikely Bollywood (and international cinema) persona – in this case critically acclaimed Irrfan Khan – and puts him in the Honey Singh role. Khan, who starts off the video attempting to make fun of his own "effortless acting" image, tells the AIB crew that he has done everything in film, "except for a party song."

What follows is a take-off of Honey Singh's Party All Night, with the video and the lyrics parodying every convention of the daru drenched, random dance shot, pool party music video ever, while nevertheless insisting that it is these catchy tunes that end up making movies money.
